Workshop Residency Tour South America 2010/2011
In spring 2011 Manuela Berndt will embark on her third workshop tour through South America, delivering her Movement Generation Systems seminars and accomplishing commissions and choreographic residencies with a number of dance companies and higher education institutions such as Taller de Danza Contemporánea Teatro San Martín Buenos Aires, Ballet Oficial de Bolivia, Asunción Danza and Observatorio de Danza y Estudios del Movimiento Rosario.

Yoga in Leeds

In an effort to integrate her work as a choreographer, dancer and yoga instructor, Manuela aspires these practises to influence, colour and nurture each other. She has studied with a diverse range of yoga teachers and experienced various styles such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Iyengar with Sri.H.S. Arun in Bangalore/India. She accomplished her yoga teacher training at the International School of Integral Yoga® (Aurobindo-Sivananda linage) and is certified by the International Yoga Federation.
In her own practise she has developed a particular affinity with the dynamic flow of Vinyasa Yoga and the unison of breath, motion, sound, strength, flexibility and grace.
Manuela's classes are highly energetic with a focus on complex movement and transitions between Asanas, connecting postures into organic sequences and enhancing the range of the body.
